Work placements

Would you like to be given a first-hand insight into one of the many professions pursued within the Foundation or get some initial occupational experience before beginning a course of study?

The Foundation offers young people the chance to secure a training placement in one of its institutions. Placements range from short orientations relating to a particular field to longer placements in preparation for a course of study.

If you are interested in doing a short placement please contact the relevant institution direct or email the Foundation’s personnel department at personalabteilung@hv.spk.berlin.de.

If you have already decided to take a course in museum studies or restoration you will be able to do your preliminary placement at the State Museums or the Museum of Musical Instruments. For further information see www.smb.spk-berlin.de.

Placements for school pupils can be organised only in exceptional circumstances. Please apply direct to the institution in which you are interested.
