SPK President hopes for „further progress towards solving the case“ of the Big Maple Leaf

The President of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Foundation), Hermann Parzinger, has thanked the Berlin police force for its „excellent detective work into the burglary at the Bode Museum.“ In a letter to Berlin's police chief, Klaus Kandt, he adds „This spectacular burglary, which was shocking in its unconscionably violent manner of execution, has severely weakened our employees' confidence in their own safety. It is therefore all the more beneficial that the police investigation has quickly produced results and that decisive action has been taken with arrests and house searches, which raise hopes of further progress towards solving the case.“ Parzinger also expressed his appreciation of the „committed and efficient support“ that the Berlin police force has been giving the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz for many years „in preventing criminal access to our collections.“
