Built and Unbuilt Utopias
News from 08/17/2021
Bohemians and ambassadors, Germania megalomania, modernist architectural icons: the Kulturforum as a utopia is the subject of joint exhibitions and events by the SPK, Stiftung St. Matthäus, and the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Berlin's Kulturforum is a built utopia. But while it does bring together some of the city's most important cultural institutions in iconic works of modernist architecture, it also has a long history of countless designs that remained unbuilt. From August to December 2021, a series of exhibitions, art interventions, and public talks will open up a variety of perspectives from which to reflect on the utopian potential of the Kulturforum.
