Talented young musicians take the stage
News from 12/20/2021
From January 12 to 16, 2022, young musicians will compete in the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory Competition in the piano and composition categories.

This year, it is the turn of the best students in the piano and composition categories to compete in the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory Competition. A jury of world-class musicians will award the prizes in Germany's longest-running competition for talented young classical musicians. The composition discipline has a special feature: the composition presented by each entrant is played by an ensemble from his or her own place of education.
The competition event concludes on January 15 and 16 with two concerts by the finalists and prize-winners respectively with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, conducted by Leslie Suganandarajah.
The Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory Competition is organized by the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) in cooperation with the Rectors' Conference of German Conservatories, and Berlin University of the Arts.
